NaNo 2018 Day 4

And now I reach the content that is still being edited and second-guessed and isn’t quite ready to upload. Soon, I hope.

With day 4 of NaNo comes chapter 5 of Necropolis, in which Carter and Len have that so-called “heart to heart” conversation, Len refers to the events of Enemy of My Enemy as the source of his recently-developed fear of heights, and a random imaginary muse Carter drops a few distractions hints for other stories I might pursue in the form of exploring the demigod’s past lives and any personal history this whole time travel mess allows him with the thief.

Chapter 6 will represent a (temporary) return to the events of official canon as the Waverider finally touches down in Norway, and as such will require me to rewatch certain relevant scenes to make sure I have the dialogue et cetera down correctly.
Whether this particular ficlet will be done at that point or not depends, like chapters 4-5, on whether I need to divide anything further due to length, but in terms of the events themselves I should be ready to return to one of my other plot bunnies.

To the report card….
Daily goal: 1667 words
Day’s count: 1718
Total goal: 6667
Total count: 8991
Report card reports: At this rate, you will finish on Nov. 23.

Lost a bit of my buffer there. And since the day to vote in my neck of the woods coincides with a full shift at work I suspect I’ll lose a bit more of that buffer in the very near future.
All the more reason to build it up when I can!

Fellow Nanoers, how goes the word count?
